Settlers Arms, St Albans
A peaceful place to visit, after a drive through the countryside. The Inn was built in 1836 from convict-hewn sandstone. There's a warm fire inside for cold days, and for the rest of the year, it's lovely being outdoors here at the front of the Inn, or in a garden around the back. They provide good pub food, with hearty serves.
